Temple Worship: The Source of Strength and Power in Times of Need

Hello sisters,

In honor of our upcoming activity for the month of November (Provo Temple on Nov. 20, more details to come), here's what I propose for one of our value experiences:

Knowledge - read and study the following talks (or find a few of your own):

Richard G Scott - "Temple Worship: The Source of Strength and Power in Times of Need"
President Thomas S Monson - "The Temple of the Lord"
Elder David B Haight - "Personal Temple Worship"

After, prayerfully select one question (or a few) to take to the Temple. These can be life decisions, desire for spiritual strength, understanding something specific in the ceremony, anything. Take time to search the scriptures and ponder answers before entering the Temple. Then, attend the Temple (hopefully with us on Nov. 20). During the session, keep your question(s) in your mind and seek for revelation. After, discuss your experience with your spouse and/or write your experience in your journal.

What do you all think? Any modifications? I had SUCH a great time reading through talks on Temples and would encourage all of you to try it! I tried to find a couple that we may not be as familiar with - it was so wonderful to read all their sweet stories.

There has been so many changes in our personal lives right now (Dave and I are both changing jobs by the end of this month and probably moving to the South-SL area in Dec.), but we know God is directing us to where we need to be. We have seen SO many blessings in our lives as we've made the gospel our first priority, so thank you all for helping us get there! We are looking forward to spending time in the Temple with all of you.

Love and miss you all!

Lara
